I am Marc, a vegan from Switzerland. I love travelling by bicycle, spending the nights in a tent and exploring challenging areas using my own muscle power.

My travel life was interrupted in July 2020 when I suddenly and unexpectedly started suffering from (most likely) an autoimmune encephalitis.

Fortunately, my brain recovered fully and surprisingly quickly from this disease. Due to further health issues, I received hip prostheses in early summer 2022 and shoulder prostheses in spring 2023.

Over the past few years, I have come up with many ideas for short trips, longer journeys, and various expeditions. Thankfully, my health is now good enough that I can attempt to realise some of these projects from summer 2025 onwards. I am very happy to be out and about again and looking forward to sharing my future experiences!

I hope you get inspired and I motivate you to go out and explore this beautiful world either by bicycle or by foot – while completely avoiding the most environmentally harmful means of transport: the airplane.
